Financing Questions

Do I choose Klarna or Zibby Financing?

Klarna is a traditional lending company, and is considered a ‘prime’ lender for consumers with high credit scores and a well-established credit history. Klarna does pull your Fico credit score in order to determine eligibility.  Zibby is a ‘lease to own’ company, that is established to offer sub-prime financing for consumers with less than perfect credit scores. Zibby charges fees instead of interest rates, and does not pull from your credit score to determine eligibility. Both companies will provide you with your payment plans and interest or fees to review before accepting the offer. Both plans also offer no fees or interest charges if paid off within 90 days.

How does Zibby determine credit without doing a 'credit check'

Zibby is a no credit required program however they do pull information from alternative credit bureaus to decide if consumers can be approved. Zibby is designed to approve sub-prime consumers (with lower than average credit scores) but don’t pull (make a hard inquiry) on the applicants FICO score. However even with this more lenient measures, Zibby is unable to lend to every consumer. The reason the customer would have been rejected isn’t because of a credit score number but rather their credit information.

What type of chemicals do you use to produce the mattresses with fire retardant?

We do not use chemicals as a Fire retardant barrier in the manufacturing of our mattresses. We have suppliers that provide us with an FR Barrier which is inherent and produced at a determined weight in order to deliver the protective barrier needed in the manufacturing of our mattress. As part of our quality program we regularly perform testing to verify our mattresses meet the CPSC flammability regulations (16 CFR 1633).

All of our polypropylene foam are CertiPUR-US® certified providing you with additional features such as:

  • Made without ozone depleters
  • Made without PBDEs, TDCPP or TCEP (”Tris”) flame retardants
  • Made without mercury, lead, and other heavy metals
  • Made without formaldehyde
  • Made without phthalates regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission
    • Low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million)
What type of foundation do I need to have?

Our mattress has been designed to be placed on any type of foundation…box spring, solid platform, slatted foundation or an adjustable bed base.  Just make sure to have the right center support system with either a Full, Queen, King or Cal-King mattress foundation.  You can also find all available foundations by visiting here: Foundations and Other Products

Tell me more about 100 night sleep trial period?

You have 100 days to test your mattress. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase simply contact us and we will return your money back hassle free.  Make sure to follow the steps in the warranty in order to take advantage of your 100-night trial period.

How long will it take to receive my mattress?

Our mattress is made in Chicago and ships the same day for orders placed before Noon EST. Delivery is free via UPS. Standard delivery takes 3 to 5 business days. All deliveries require signature, and cannot be left ‘at the door’.  After 3 attempts the mattress will be returned and the delivery will be cancelled. There may be a delivery charge if customer requests a second delivery attempt after the mattress has been returned.

Do I have to buy special sheets to fit your mattress?
  • Our mattress is 10” tall and most standard sheets will fit very easily

  • We recommend the use of a mattress protector to extend the life of your mattress.  Also, keep in mind to prevent voiding your warranty and 100-Night Sleep Trial, you must avoid liquid spills, dirt, food, etc. on top of the mattress since this will affect the characteristics and performance of the foam layers.  Even if you don’t keep your Snuz mattress, the mattress protectors are generally universal on other standard similar sized mattresses.
How long will it take to "break-in" my mattress?

The ‘break-in’ period will depend on each person’s height and weight; the time spend on the mattress (both sleeping and amount of activity) will also affect the break-in period. Based on an 8 hour sleeping period per day, it will take between 3-5 weeks of regular use.

What do I need to do if I return the mattress?

Our return policy is clearly outlined in our warranty documentation and you can inquire more information by emailing customerservice@snuz.com . We partner with the Salvation Army whenever possible to donate returns. Returns can take 2-4 weeks to process. Any returns will be refunded less the value of any promotional items included (if any) at the time of your purchase.

What is the mattress made of? How is it made? Is it safe?

Our mattress is made from 4 different components.  Our first top layer is a 2” of high quality & density polyurethane foam with a 7-zone design that helps in reducing the pressure points in your shoulders, hips and knees. The 7-zone design also helps with air flow in the top layer that helps you to stay cooler during your sleep

Our second layer is a 2” of Graphite infused memory foam to give you the adequate support needed for your body and also helps you stay cool

Our main support layer is a 6” foam core made of high quality & density foam that helps your body, neck, and spine properly aligned in conjunction with the 7-zone design in the top layer.

Our Snuz mattress cover is a breathable high-performance stretch knit fabric made with rayon and polyester with Feran Ice finish to help your body stay cool.

All of our foams are CertiPUR-US certified, meaning they are free from PBDEs, heavy metals, phthalates, formaldehyde and harmful chemicals and carcinogens.

What are the foundation types you use underneath your product pictures?

We use the foldable Simple Life design foundation and we sell this foundation type as part of our bedding accessories.  However, our mattress will work well on any type of foundation (solid platform, slatted, wood or steel foundations).  You can check out the Simple Life foldable foundation by clicking this link

Will this mattress be suitable for stomach sleepers?

Our mattress was designed for various sleeping positions…back sleeper, side sleeper and stomach sleepers. In any of these sleeping positions you will feel your body being supported evenly in order to reduce pressure points

Do I have to use a box spring underneath the Snuz mattress?

No.  You can place your mattress directly on top of a solid platform (wood or steel) or on your floor.

Can I use a mattress warming pad directly on top of the Mattress?

We do not recommend the use of heating pads over the mattress since we do not know the construction and safety features of the heating pads. Plus, a heating pad may affect the properties of the foam and therefore affecting its performance.

How can I clean my mattress?

The best way to keep your mattress clean is by using a quality mattress protector, like the ones found here

What is the Warranty?

You have a limited 10-year warranty in your mattress purchase.  Please refer to the warranty terms at Snuz Warranty Information

Does the mattress Smell?

The mattress may have a slight smell the moment it is open…this is normal.  Since the mattress is immediately packaged right after it is produced it may retain some of the smell from the polyurethane foam.  This smell should dissipate after 4-6 hours.  We recommend ‘airing’ the mattress out before putting a mattress protector on it.  The mattress is still made right here in the U.S.A

Do you ship outside the USA - Alaska or Hawaii?

Yes.  We ship to both Alaska and Hawaii but there is added freight cost.  The mattress will ship during the first 3 days after the order has been placed.  Since the mattress in shipped outside the domestic United States it may take an additional 10 -15 days for delivery

Do I need to be home to sign for the delivery?

Yes.  If you are not available to sign, we cannot deliver the bed.  This policy has recently been updated due to claims made on mattresses that have been delivered but not received by our customers.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

How can I try a Snuz Mattress out?

What is CertiPUR-US Certified Foam?

Made without ozone depleters

Ozone’s presence is important in our upper atmosphere, where it provides a shield from the sun’s radiant energy. The Montreal Protocol, adopted in 1987, mandated that industries eliminate ozone depleting chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) by the year 2000. U.S. foam producers were well ahead of schedule in complying with this regulation. Unfortunately, in some parts of the world, CFCs are still used to manufacture foam. The CertiPUR-US label prohibits the use of any CFCs, or other ozone depleters, in the foam manufacturing process.

Made without PDBEs, TDCPP or TCEP ('Tris') flame retardants

Some PBDEs (polybrominated diphenylethers) were used in foam to meet certain state flammability requirements, but those PBDEs were effectively banned in the U.S. by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in 2005. Other flame retardants that have been identified by the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) as substances that may cause cancer, may cause genetic defects or may damage fertility or unborn child (1A, 1B) may not be used in certified foam. TDCPP or TCEP (“Tris”) are among these FRs. A complete list of specific FRs prohibited in certified foam may be found in our Technical Guidelines or at certipur.us/FAQ.

Made without mercury, lead and other heavy metals

Though not common components of foam chemistry, heavy metals in food (mercury in fish) and in the home (lead paint in children’s toys) have made the entire heavy metal family an area of concern. CertiPUR-US laboratory testing subjects material extracted to molecular analysis capable of detecting even trace amounts of heavy metal content. CertiPUR-US verifies that registered foams are made without mercury, lead and other heavy metals.

Made without formaldehyde

Like heavy metals, formaldehyde has never been used as a raw material in foam. Formaldehyde has been labeled as a cause of poor indoor air quality. The absence of formaldehyde in foam is verified in CertiPUR-US-certified foam by a small chamber emission test.

Phthalates (pronounced “thal’-ātes”) are mainly used as a softening agent in the manufacture of some consumer products. The Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (2009) eliminated the use of seven specific phthalates for use in children’s toy and child care items. CertiPUR-US goes a step further by requiring detailed laboratory analysis of foam extractions and prohibiting the use of phthalates regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission in all CertiPUR-US certified foams.

Low VOC(Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million)

Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are a major component of air pollution. VOC emissions from household products are also a concern for indoor air quality. CertiPUR-US certified foams are tested using a small chamber test standardized by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).* In the test, foam samples are conditioned for 72 hours after which emissions of total organic compounds are measured. Results of this test verify that CertiPUR-US compliant foams have low emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million).

*ISO is one of the largest voluntary standards development organizations in the world, and is a trusted source for technical standards for materials, products, systems, and services. Known for their high technical quality and market relevancy, ISO standards have an important role in the technical infrastructure that guides design, manufacturing and trade in the global economy.
